JIPL was created in 2006 as a result of the findings coming from five years of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) activities under the USAID-funded JOBS Project. Activities under the JOBS Project built close relationships between project staff, private sector ICT businesses and academic institutions offering ICT related courses of study. Educational facilities stated that there were no jobs, while the private sector businesses could not find qualified employees. JIPL was established as a solution to this gap in communication, providing a range of placement services to businesses searching for qualified manpower as well as a specialized platform for job-seekers – JIPLerz.com – to register their skills sets and availability. A team of highly-skilled professionals focuses on the training, certification and placement of local ICT graduates and professionals, as well as the promotion of internationally-recognized ICT e-curricula, such as the Cisco Systems’ Cisco Networking Academy Program and the Sun Microsystems “Sun Academic Initiative”. JIPL’s main objectives are to boost the quality of qualified manpower to fulfill the increasing global demand for skilled ICT manpower and support growth of the ICT sector – an untapped vehicle for national economic development. We have many years of experience and proven methods for leading and managing similar projects. Our project management process is geared towards mitigating risks, managing complexity, quality control and issues resolutions.
